We are open by appointment only, but also have alternate Sunday mornings open . This is always advertised on our Facebook page. This is a family run rescue and, so that’s why we operate by appointment.

The Huskies: We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome unwanted or homeless Siberian Huskies and cross breeds. There is in fact an international crisis across the world of shelters over flowing with unwanted huskies since they have become extremely popular thanks to Game of Thrones. People buy the beautiful puppies but by the time they get to a year old or older the people suddenly realize meeting the unique needs of a husky does not fit into their life style anymore so then the dog sadly gets dumped. South Africa is no different with about 6 dedicated rescue centres throughout the country full and still turning dogs away. However, with the economy being what it is along with crime and people moving into security complexes as a result it is becoming harder and harder to find new appropriate homes for these dogs. We foster the huskies on our rented farm in Cato Ridge until we can find homes for them.
Husky Play dates: We also offer community service to learners by appointment and alternate Sunday morning play time which includes walking and grooming the huskies. Here the visitors get to take the huskies for a much-needed walk and then spend time grooming and socializing them afterward.
